I've always liked some of Douglas Adams titles:
Life, the Universe and Everything
Mostly Harmless
The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul
The Salmon of Doubt

Some titles that I'm thinking of looking at:
Charles Yu's Third Class Superhero and How to Live Safely in a Science Fiction Universe

Truly had no idea. Granted, I'm more a fan of the movie's title (or rather, the book's title) than the actual movie but still. Oh well, a flagrant display of ignorance every now and then is a good way to humble ones soul I suppose.

That's one of those books that has always made me think. One concept explored is "why do we laugh."

I will presume you've read "Time Enough for Love?" If not I'd highly recommend it to you. It's by far my favorite Heinlein.

It was one of my favorites in high school but I haven't read it in decades.

Another favorite title:
Any Friend of Nicholas Nickleby is a Friend of Mine by Ray Bradbury.

It was made into an American Playhouse production starring Fred Gwynne as "Dickens."

Yes, excellent also.

I've read all of Heinlein, several times, over the years. I cut my teeth on him and Asimov almost as soon as I started reading.
