Cara - Rereading your post I wish I'd thought to answer it back in September. Eyes is in the Top Ten in a couple of Kindle categories, but the highest it ever made in the overall Kindle books list was the 300's - I caught it at #328 once. Thanks for the kind words, though, and I hope you enjoyed it. Your cover is very appealing by the way. My kind of dark good looks in a guy.
For those of you who might be interesting in a western historical romance, Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold has resonated with a lot of readers. It's available on Amazon for Kindle and in paperback and for other ereaders on Smashwords. http://www.amazon.com/Eyes-Silver-Go...7000816&sr=8-2 http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/13028 |

I'm seeing some requests for Christmas books on the forums, and while none of my 3 books has a Christmas theme, Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold covers 16 months and 2 Christmases in the lives of Cord and Anne Bennett. At least one reader was inspired by the description of the Bennetts' first Christmas together to start baking holiday cookies.

To my delight, All About Romance mentioned Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold on both their list of Reviewers' Buried Treasures of 2010 and Reviewers' Choice: Best Book of 2010 (although Eyes wasn't IT on the Reviewers' Choice list).

Wow, it's been a while since I bumped this thread, hasn't it? What inspired me today is that sometime in the past few days, Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold passed 10,000 sales. Among other things that makes me feel good about my decision to publish it last year, as it's now earned considerably more than 3 times that "average" first time advance that gets bandied about so much.
The other news, a bit dated but news since the last post to this thread, is that Eyes received a nice review in early June at Dear Author. Available for Kindle on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Eyes-Silver-Go...4037034&sr=8-2 on B&N for Nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/eyes...es%2bof%2bgold and on Smashwords: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/13028 |
