Does Calibre Keep a Snapshot of Device Contents?

My Kindle Touch died and was replaced. Does Calibre keep a snapshot or list of the books on a device when it was lasted connected to Calibre? That would be helpful in reconstructing the partial library that I kept on my old, dead KT.

Thanks. I couldn't find anything like that, but I thought I should ask.

No it does not by default
But there is a manual way if you are inclined in the future.

Create a custom date column: onetime for each device

with the device connected (and settled):
Search: ondevice:true : (Select All): (type)'E' for bulk edit mode: set the date in the custom column to today. (this will update previous 'Last seen on device' dates)

You could use other type columns, but then you would need to first clear previous contents for ALL books.. This way a column (date) sort will put the current books at the end with no other juggling
