Calibre, Kindle and news

0.4.132 has fixed kindle detection issue, calibre detects kindle as generic ereader with sd card detection. I tried to download news in mobi output, calibre downloads news and successfully transfer it to reader but news is nowhere to be seen, it is not on the reader or in calibre folder. I have only tried ars technica.

What do you mean it's not in the Calibre folder? Is it in your library?

In the main Calibre window, do you see it listed in your library? If it's not in your library could you open a bug at http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net. The Kindle driver just is given the data that is downloaded and converted. If nothing is being saved in your library than that is not an issue with the Kindle driver but somewhere along the pipe line from download to conversion.

There is another thread covering this issue. Several folks having problems, me included. Kovid has indicated he'll take a look.

cheers
