Thats the same thing I was trying for the MFGtool, but I'll try again in linux as per ixtab's instructions

Looks like it was in USB downloader mode the first 2 times, but booted into main the last time. (I only have experience with the 3 in this so I assume that CODEX is the K5's name , just like the K3's is RINGO)
