Upgraded to Calibre 5.5, now can't import epub format

Hi and thanks in advance for your help.

I am a user of Calibre, not a programmer. I use it to create a library for books I buy and download. I recently upgraded from Calibre 5.3 to 5.5 and now I cannot import epubs. PDFs import fine. Attached is the error I get when I try to import the epub format. So is this a bug in the new version or do I need to install a new plugin?

Any help or sugestions are appreciated. Please keep in mind, I do not do programming.

You might tell us which OS (and version) because those messages are from the Python used in all versions

The line numbers in that message dont match up calibre 5.5 code. Are you sure you are running that? And how are you adding? Try using the add books button instead.

Also, WHERE your library is stored, ie, the path of it.
