UK iPad 2 to be priced from £399

Apple have announced UK prices for the iPad 2, which goes on sale on Friday.

The WiFi models are:

16GB: £399
32GB: £479
64GB: £579

3G models are all £100 more.

It's interesting that they've priced the new model cheaper than the old ones, which started at £429. Perhaps getting in below £400 is perceived as an important psychological price point.

Discussed it a bit in this thread Harry. I think it's more to do with currency fluctuations; they've been able to cut the price, absorb the VAT increase, charge a bit more than the US equivalent and still hit an attractive '£ X99' price-point - a win all around
