Someone posted a photos with both the odyssey and muse. Muse screen looks good.
The main problem i have with the ocean's screen, it's the reflections. Overall i'm satisfied. (no inkpak to compare with though.) |

The resolution isn't a problem;
It's more the tactile layer that seams to be; After some more looking around, I definitively can read my technical PDF on the ocean comfortably. Nice |

One thing I've learned over the years is that sharpness matters only as much as the software. The InkPad's ebook rendering software could be improved upon, so even though the Ocean has a lower resolution screen there is room for the Ocean to outperform the InkPad. |

Of course - it's the same linear resolution as such a screen. The point I was trying to make is that most modern eInk devices have much higher linear resolution: 212ppi for the Kindle Paperwhite, 250ppi for the Kobo Aura H20, and 300ppi for the Kindle Voyage, and there's no doubt that the increased resolution drastically improves the appearance of the text. It seems rather a retrograde step to go back to a resolution that is now effectively 3 years out of date.

Touch work fine.
It's more that felling of some kind of veil. Yeah, it lacks some sharpness. That's exactly the right word. And black don't seams fully back either. And ditto about the rendering software. But I tough that pocketbook had improved there ? Last edited by EowynCarter; 11-29-2014 at 08:44 AM. |

Well, for any software related question, you can ask me.
Hardware wise, it look fine : https://www.pinterest.com/pin/573716440005703322/ Last edited by EowynCarter; 11-29-2014 at 10:42 AM. |

Looks like my Muse arrived in my hometown on Saturday and should be delivered tomorrow. That was fast!
I'll keep you informed about what it's like. |
