Guide to install Debian on the Kobo Glo HD

Some time ago, I found these two articles that explain how to install Linux on the Kobo Glo HD. I was wondering if anyone here has already tried this?

The short answer is yes, quite a few people have tried although I am not sure how many have tried that specific method. Trying to find something that has been done recently is the challenge. I have been looking into getting Debian running on the H2O but Linux is just a hobby for me so the progress is slow. If you are willing to give it a go here are a few links showing a few methods for various Kobo models:

If you have any luck post back your results!
