COPS 1.1.3 - Changing Date

Would it be possible to exchange the date of publication behind the title e.g. (2021) versus a selfmade date from calibre = date of addition (to calibre?

@huber70

I've once (long time ago = years) got a "hack" from the developer of COPS himself. It removes the annoying year behind the book Title.
If you know CSS you can probably change more, but I don't know CSS, so ......

1 - make a new file in ./cops/templates/default/styles/style-personal.css
2 - put in file:
Code:
/* ==========================================================================
   Personal setings for style-personal.css
   ========================================================================== */

header
{
    text-transform:none ;
}

.sp
{
   display: none ;
}
3 - in COPS click the wrench icon and change Theme to personal
4 - enjoy COPS

thanks, generally it works, but mixes the design totally..

At least: it's not very important...

COPS use "public $pubdate", I like to change to "public $#date1", which is the date of input to calibre library

Guess, I'm going another way (2 files have to be modified) whenever I add books to COPS...

I was a bit to fast with copying and forgot the most important line:
Code:
@import url("style-default.css");

/* ==========================================================================
   Personal setings for style-personal.css
   ========================================================================== */

header
{
    text-transform:none ;
}

.sp
{
   display: none ;
}
Now try with the red line added to the file.

ref to the "hack": how to start COPS not in default but in "personal"?

@huber70

If you named your new style ./cops/templates/default/styles/style-personal.css

change the setting in ./cops/config_local.php to:

Code:
    /*
     * Which style is used by default :
     * 'base'
     * 'default'
     * 'eink' (only available for the 'default' template)
     * 'iphone' (only available for the 'default' template)
     * 'iphone7' (only available for the 'default' template)
     */
    $config['cops_style'] = 'personal';
And it should work after refreshing the COPS webpage in your browser.
