Migrating to a new Reader
I should be receiving my Kobo Libra 2 tomorrow. What I'd like to know is what files I need to copy to keep my settings? Thanks.

A blind copy of the full directory tree (excluding .kobo) works just fine.
But, technically, the usual stuff in the settings folder plus each book's sidecar folder would be enough for a more surgical strike . c.f., my backup script for inspiration. |

It's currently tailored for someone having shell access, but it shouldn't be too hard to give it basic UI feedback with FBInk. Completely out of scope as far as I'm concerned, though .

Ah, thanks. When you mentioned shell access earlier, I mistakenly thought it was a script that I could run from my PC with the device plugged in. |

I mean, you could easily adapt it to do just that via SSH (but, again, not my use-case ;p).

The above is a fine example of the usefulness of the now-deprecated pronoun "one" "one could easily adapt it" would be literally true , "you could easily adapt it" definitely NOT true when the "you" is "me"

At the very least, it's a somewhat readable example of actually what kind of files make sense in a backup .
