any good way so far for KPW2 updated to 5.10.1.1(reset) to jailbroken?

Details, please, as this is highly unclear.

Is this a brand new device?
Was the device previously jailbroken?
What happened to it?
What does that "reset" mention entails? (again, in details, especially relative to the timing of potential FW updates).

If previously jail broken:
The order the reset(s) and the update(s) was done is very important (pick pair A or pair B, one or more times to describe the order used):
A) Firmware update and then Reset
B) Reset and then Firmware update
