Anyone Read "The People of the River Series"?

I'm sorely tempted in spite of the fact that the prices asked are MUCH too high in my opinion. Though there is no DRM on the books, at Amazon at least, which is to be encouraged I guess.

I've seen them in paper book stores for years, but always found something more immediate to buy. Before I click "Buy" at Amazon, I'd like some opinions on the first book in particular, and the series, in general.

Are you referring to the Edgar Wallace book?

I'm referring to the Gear books, I didn't know about the Wallace books.

For those who want a link, here is the Amazon US link:

I have not read them, but I have read most of the books written by just W. Michael Gear. I just finished Flight of the Hawk: The River, and will get the sequel when it is released. I also loved The Morning River and Coyote Summer. They are not listed series but are. Set in 1825, about 10 years after Flight of the Hawk, and not related. Very well done series. I have read the two three times each and have been thinking about reading them again.
Years ago I also read The Big Horn Legacy (a western), The Artifact, Starstrike (both Science Fiction). I enjoyed them also.

If you consider reading them again then they should have been good. I am unfamiliar with the author but will give it a try for sure!
