Newbee planning to use Nook on Egypt trip
Hi,
I'm a (very) retired aerospace engineer, going on a 2 week tour of Egypt in 2 months. Includes tours, Nile cruise, etc. To keep in touch via Wifi I'm planning to get another Nook, use it for email contact via our ISPs Webmail, besides the usual ebooks. Way cheaper than an Ipad, and not as heavy as a netbook. Only disadvantage is I'm not sure I can keep any sort of diary except by sending emails. Any way to do that, maybe via notes on a document? For me the typing on the tiny keyboard isn't too bad because I seem to have a delicate touch, works fine as long as I barely touch the screen. |

Hi JJK308 Welcome to Mobilread and an Advance Welcome to egypt when you come here.
Its a beautiful country and the People are very friendly to Foreigners like us visiting and staying here. Just a comment, as I'm not too familiar with the Nook, that do make sure that you can navigate to Wifi Splash pages as most wifi access points here are locked or if open require you either purchase a voucher from the hotel, etc or enter your credit card details. Good luck with your trip. |

Good to have your company, JJK. Why not post your concerns in the Nook-dedicated forum here at MobileRead? You'll soon get sound advice from travelling Nookers. Bon Voyage and very best wishes. Neil
