Uable to Install Error - 'Connection refused
I am unable to install calibre using any of the document paths
'
user@pop-os:~$ sudo -v && wget --no-check-certificate -nv -O- https://download.calibre-ebook.com/linux-installer.sh | sudo sh /dev/stdin

failed: Connection refused.
failed: Network is unreachable.

Any ideas?

I will say try again it worked for me at the time of this post. Or try the Manual binary install.

Thanks for the idea that is also failing (the wget is also blocked). Even though kovidgoyal's response is obviously useless, he is right that the sight is blocked due to its existence on some well-published block list. I might have to find another e-book management solution.

What block-list is this?

If it has calibre listed then get rid of it.

Well Published does nor equal ACCURATE

If you are using the Official (from Calibre download page) command line, simply white list (if it is your security tools).

Use a different Network provider if the ISP is blocking

Like a library, or some relative/friends house, or even a phone as a WiFi hotspot (some even do USB networking, I installed a Linux once that had no working WiFi or Ethernet via USB to phone once)
