Yep. Getting the same problem with the book I was reading (though I set it to the home page before putting it to sleep and connecting for the update). Checked a different book and font sizing was working fine.

One step forward, two steps back. :/

to add to it,

i removed my book that was showing the problem, let the kobo process.
then reconnected it to the pc and reloaded the problematic book back on, no dice.

i'm not keen on the giant font.

Hyperlink functionality doesn't seem to have been improved, which is disappointing. I'm glad however that full-size images for sleep and shutdown have returned, and I luckily don't seem to have the fixed text size problem.

I had a problem with all my calibre books sideloaded to my KTusing 1.9.6. Margins, font sizes, line spacing didn't work on any of them. I've updated firmware to 1.9.7 and they still don't work. I can change fonts and margins on kpubs and books sideloaded via ADE however. For me it is related to calibre.

A side-loaded epub for me. "The Atheist Camel Chronicles" is the name of the book.

Sideloaded for me, as well, but ONLY on that very first one opened (to its bookmark, of course) after the update.

Do you have the touch? Because the update is only for the kobo touch

Those seeing the issue after you restarted with the upgrade applied, what steps did you do next? The book you opened was defaulted to the larger font size as soon as it was opened or did you do anything else?

Hi KiwiPippa,

I get around the Calibre "no margins issue" by

Converting the epub with (say) a 6 point left and right margin
Tweaking the epub file within Calibre and opening the stylesheet.css file
Deleting the references to 6pt left and right margins
Redbuild in Calibre
Upload to KT, and the margins now work nicely!

It would be great if Caibre could be tweaked to give an option of not having any left and right margin settings in the body of the book chapters to get away from the need to manually correct them.....
