I'll toss this one out here more in hopes that it might give someone else an idea than because I think it's a good one on its own.

Here's my first attempt at a MobilRead logo.
I'm not happy with the plug, but there you go:

mores, if you like to display the attachment inline your post (rather than as in the appendix of your post), use [attach ]attachmentid[/ attach] as the bbcode (without the spaces). You get the attachment id when you move over your attachment link (7738).

I think that may only work for you, Alex.

Attachment 7737

For me it seems to just give a link.

Here is my attempt. I have used JSWolfs slogan with a slight change just cause I liked it so much and wanted it in the image. This can be changed.

Maybe it needs to be bigger

Probably a bit small but maybe the idea works for a mobile reading device.

Reminds me of the story about a guy that paid $5000 for a new electric car and then had to pay $100,000 for the extension cord.

Why not make it a USB plug instead?

Since a logo is aimed primarily at attracting the attention of newbies, perhaps a tagline along the lines of
"MobileRead: All you ever wanted to know about ebooks" is more appropriate?

Here's my take:

MobileRead
Read. Digitally.

The logo has the virtue of being legible at any size (as it gets smaller, you can remove the grayed text boxes), in 1 or more colors.

Second attempt at a logo

New logo idea for you all to comment on.

I've been trying all kinds of stuff, this just popped up and I kind of liked it.

SVG can be found here.

Kudos,
K

...being, of course, an allusion to the "road to the future".

Also:

- Read on the Road to the Future
- Future of Reading
- Future of Reading is e-Reading

Btw, Steve, I really (really!) like your logo!
