Rooting Boox Tabl Ultra C
Has anyone already had luck rooting the device and could share a tutorial for this? I am very interested in installing afwall...

The usual method for rooting is Magisk.
You need to get the boot image by:
  1. Get it from a decrypted update
  2. Load it using EDL
AFAIK, 1) there are no updates available and nobody has gotten the DeBooxUpd strings yet and 2) a Firehose loader has not been found yet.

A user posted the Tab Ultra C string, pending pull request. See if that works.

But I am not sure how to obtain the update.upx.

I’ve used EDL with the Tab Ultra C with the same loader as for the Tab Ultra and was able to download the boot image that way

It seems there was never an update to this device, so there's no update package to be had. The API returns HTTP 204-No Content.
