Kobo Sage
I just purchased the Sage and Microsoft stylus/and charger. I love it! Being able to scribble on it is a game changer for me.
I noticed minor glitches like the occasional freeze but its not bad to where I would be bothered by it or return it. The stylus works good. I did not have to pair it. it automatically started to write as soon as I charged it without having to pair it. I kind of wish I ordered the kobo stylus for it's a ton cheaper but I did not want to wait any longer for shipping so I went to best buy and got the Microsoft stylus and charger. I hear Microsoft is the only 3rd party stylus compatible? Anyways, I am thoroughly enjoying the device. I will still use my kindles/nooks for I have a ton of books on it but I will get a lot of my future purchases on my Kobo. |

MS bought the company that designed that system. I use the "Adrawpen" for MS Surface which has massive AAA battery life and is almost identical to Kobo pen, except at £18 it comes with spare tips. Operation & performance totally identical to the Kobo Pen (I have an Elipsa too).
Actual MS pens are overpriced and some have also BT for One Note activation, so avoid them. Rechargeable makes no sense on long life things like such a stylus type, smoke alarms, DMMs, keyfobs, wireless door bells and electret microphones. I was designing battery powered electronics for 20 years. |

Amazon made a change. We can not strip the DRM anymore. They do not allow us to use the older desktop versions

Skydog is right about the RENAISSER Raphael 520C Stylus Pen, works great with the Sage, now if Kobo will be able to fix those damn buttons... |

I cannot take notes on my Sage. Basic or Advanced notebooks. The lag is horrible, ghost stylus issues with writing, sometimes it’ll have like a 4 second delay for something to show up that I wrote.
The Advanced notebook seems like a great idea. But I have so many issues as mentioned above. And the shortcuts seem great, except when your underline is taken as a strike through and the line you wrote is deleted. And I can’t get circle words to consistently highlight. |
