Kobo Libra 2 stuck on Koreader sleep screen

Hey, I'd like to see if anyone could help me troubleshoot a problem. I bought a second-hand Libra 2 a few days ago and installed Koreader; it worked like a charm for a couple of days, then started crashing a lot. I decided to reinstall it to see if it would work better, and this time not import my settings from my old Kobo Glo HD, since it seemed like those might be causing some problems.

After much trouble and a couple of factory resets, I managed to get it working just fine; thing is, I read on it for a little bit this morning, then closed the sleepcover and when I went to open it again it was permanently stuck on the sleeping screen. I tried to hard reset it but the led did not light up. I've been trying to charge it now, but the led also did not light up when connected to the charger (either to the pc or to a wall socket charger). I just connected it to a pc and it was recognized with the name "SE BLANK 6SLL". Is it bricked? Do I probably need to unplug the battery and sd card? I'm no good at soldering, so that would be a little problem, considering the battery is soldered to the board.

Thanks for any help that can be given, and sorry if this isn't the right board.

That looks as if the boot from the internal µSD card process couldn't get started. You might want to try the manual factory reset procedure.
  1. Charge your Libra 2 preferably from a wall wart for at least an hour.
  2. Hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds to force a power off.
  3. Press and hold one of the page turn buttons.
  4. Continue to hold the page turn button and press and hold the power button.
  5. After 30 seconds or so, the screen should change to the resetting screen.
  6. You can now release the power and page turn buttons.
  7. If the process succeeds, your Libra 2 will be wiped back to factory and will need to be setup from scratch.

If this doesn't work, post in the Kobo µSD Card Image Requests thread to request a firmware image for your Libra 2.

Good luck!

Sadly, no luck with this procedure. I suppose my only way out is to reflash the sd then, right? What a shame. I'm afraid I'm not skilled enough to remove the sd card without breaking anything due to the waterproof coating, but I'll see what I can do. Thanks a lot! I'll ask for the image in the other thread.

Sounds good. I noticed you had already posted in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread and should be that long before your PMs are enabled.

Man, I've re-imaged it and still no signs of life. The battery is working since it was tested with a multimeter today and was giving voltage (albeit low, 3.4V, so I let it charging for the day). Any ideas or am I out of luck?
