Unhappy Help: Deleting no-content folder/author

I have lots of folders which I've removed the pdf/epub/whatever, don't ask why, it's embarrassing. More embarrassing is now I have over 1000 folders to search to find those without 'content.'
Other than deleting ALL the Calibre folders, is there a way to delete only those without pdf/epub/azw/mobi?
thanks!

Run a 'Check Library'.

Search for formats:false will find all books with no format files, then select all (Ctrl+A) and remove (Del)

If you have a listing in your calibre library for a book it will have a folder on disk even if you have no readable format associated with it. This holds the cover image and a backup of metadata.

BR's method works if you HAD Calibre, do the delete.
If you did NOT use Calibre, you now have a broken library and need to run (and resolve) as mbovenka suggested. That gets Calibre back int sync with what is really there. Then do the BR method.

Having Empty Books (no formats) , is a valid 'documentation' method
