Amazon Affiliate Tags -- Removal?

Does anyone know how to remove Amazon's affiliate tags? I assume it's a cookie of some type. I don't want to remove all cookies just the tag cookie. Can anyone tell me what they look like?

Here's an example of a link with an affiliate tag (one for MobileRead). The ?tag=mr060-20 part is the affiliate tag. It's usually at end of the link, but not always.

With Amazon, you can generally remove anything after the item number (in the case above, that would be "B000W9399S") and what remains will still get where you're going. MobileRead automatically attaches the tag ("?tag=mr060-20") to all Amazon links that are posted on this site, so posting an Amazon link here without that tag is pretty much impossible.

I'm sorry. I meant the cookie tag on the hard drive not the link. Some tags don't expire when the session ends.

I can remove the tags in the links before clicking on them but sometimes I don't realize it and am caught out.
