HA! Maybe...

Someone sent me his email address to cancel my order from the Kobo website, and when he emailed me back, he offered to answer any questions I had about the Vox I purchased locally. So - I asked him a question about You Tube and Netflix, and then he said he was going to call me to discuss these more (I guess because they are currently investigating some issues on their end and wanted more info from users).

While I had him on the phone, I asked him a bunch of other questions!

That's interesting. It should work with all Android devices with 2.2 and above. Particularly strange since the Vox is pretty much a standard Android device, unlike the NOOKcolor and Kindle Fire.
