Exclamation Strange DRM-lock following KoReader install

Since the install of KoReader (Nickelmenu) from November 2021, ALL books opened in Kobo's original navigation are claimed to be "DRM-locked" - even books of my own make, and the free books from Kobo Shop.

Anyone?

Does restarting (power off/power on or restart from NickelMenu) correct the issue for a while?

its the reading of books OUTSIDE of NickelMenu (ie. before its started), which is prevented. So, restart only serves to show the problem of DRM-prevention of all books!?

Check for (Nickel) database corruption, and do reboot the device properly.

How do I do that, please?

What could cause kobo to mark all books as DRM-blocked?

I've only seen it happen on broken DBs, or broken Nickel hot starts. (so, basically, like, once ? ;D).

Remember the Birkenhead drill and keep a stiff upper lip!

More seriously, you might try saving your annotations prior to wiping your ereader. See the Annotations plugin for calibre for possible help.

Err, I never mentioned anything about a reinstall? But, sure, a (full) factory reset is a great way to go back to clean slate .
