Remembering Christmas by Dan Walsh is a contemporary general fiction novel, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.

Free @ B&N and Amazons US (available to Canadian) and UK, likely to show up at Sony and Christian Book.

Newly free since it originally popped up 3 years ago @ iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians) & ChristianBook (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide).

If you happen to like this author, another book of his appears to be on deep discount sale (at least to Canadians), at just $2.99 for his historical Christian fiction novel The Deepest Waters, apparently about the real-life sinking of a pre-US Civil War steamship with a lost cargo of gold. His other novels from the same publisher cost roughly 3 times as much.

ETA: Also discounted to the same price for Nook, it seems, and likely to be on sale elsewhere as well.

Description
Rick Denton lives his life on his terms. He works hard, plays hard, and answers to no one. So when his mother calls on Thanksgiving weekend begging him to come home after his stepfather has a stroke, Rick is more than a little reluctant. He's never liked Art and resents the man's presence in his life, despite the fact that his own father abandoned the family when Rick was just twelve. When what was supposed to be just a couple days helping out at the family bookstore turns into weeks of cashing out old ladies and running off the homeless man who keep hanging about, Rick's attitude sours even more.

Note that it "showed free", but when I put it in my cart, it went up to $8.79.

Given that the past couple of Revell Xmas-themed freebies seem to have shown up for just a day each, I suspect Baker publishing of doing a) a set of one-day Thanksgiving weekend offerings or b) some sort of countdown Advent calendar of daily freebies.

So I advise anyone who wants it to pick up the current freebie, Christmas at Harrington's, Real Soon Now if they want it, and be so kind as to update the thread if they happen to find it elsewhere.
