another commonly distributed file format in china and russia is .djv

How does one convert beautiful .djv files in to kindle files on both a mac and pc?

TY!

I'm interested as well--USGS uses .djvu files for a large number of scanned reports, and I'm wondering if they can be accessed on a Kindle.

if djvu can be open on your system, use that viewer and then do an export to jpg or gif and then use the image viewer to read the exported images.

you can export from djview on mac to a pdf. the OCR to get the words. Then conver the PDF via amazon free service .... but that stinks. We really need more devs out there in the freeware community to mash their heads on some converter projects.

i want the kindle to read me the .djv file... so images will not work. and converting to pdf messes up the format so badly that the kindle can't read it and I can't even read it easily.
