Retro iPhone - iRetrophone is Rotary Dialer app for iPhone!

I do not have an iPhone, but if I did this is the first app I would buy for it.

i couldn't afford an iphone so i bought a real phone and glued the dial on to the touchscreen of my cellphone. the results are sometimes unpredictable but you can't beat it for style.

You know I don't believe I've ever used a rotary phone in my entire life. I just remember seeing one in my grandparents house. Though I'm pretty sure they just kept it for the decor.

And I remember when "touch tone" was the new-fangled thing and it cost more to have.

I showed it to everyone here at work, and everyone with an iPhone bought it right away, incredibly silly, but fun

I suspect the touch dial will be just as foreign to those born in a couple decades as as the rotary is to me now.

Some of the dial wheels required a lot of force to turn (dial) and some women (like my Mother) had dial sticks that fit on the end of pens/pencils and matched the dial holes. This kept her fingers out of the holes and kept her long nails from breaking when she made a call.
