I guess I'll go with " Drowning with Others " suspence for my second book. I've not read Quantum yet but I don't mind that it's a cliffhanger. If I like the book then I'll probably buy the next. If not I won't need to read more of the series.

I went with 2 books this month. "Transcontinental Affair" ( historical fiction ) I love reading about trains so that one I chose right off the bat. The second was "The Last Dance " (science fiction) That's the second science fiction book I got in a row from First Reads. Maybe Amazon is reading our requests on MR ? Either way they looked like good books to me.

Me too - two books last month and only one this month. Sad, because last month I didn't really have two I wanted, and this month, I would have liked two. Oh well, most of these books eventually go on sale for reasonable prices if one puts them in eReaderIQ and is patient, so if I really want the second one, I can probably eventually have it.

Oh yeah, I picked the Hartung book, Broken Glass, since I read another book in a different series by this author and liked it. I would have liked to try the sci-fi book too, though...

They occasionally allow everyone to pick two books instead of one. People getting more than one in a regular month are taking advantage of Family Sharing. The free Kindle First Reads book is a shareable benefit, so the other adult you have set up with Family Sharing can pick a free book as well.
