Question about saving to disk
How does Calibre choose the file and folder permissions it uses when I save books to disk? I'm getting rw-r--r-- (in Unix-speak) when I would really prefer rw-rw-r--. How can I change the default?

IIRC it doesn't do anything in particular. On Unix like systems (and I assume the Mac is sufficiently Unix like) it simply uses the default umask the file system is mounted with.
