Thumbs up Free (Kindle/iTunes) 25 Years of Matt [Brit Newspaper Editorial Cartoons & Articles]

25 Years of Matt by Matt Pritchett, MBE (Wikipedia) is a brief yearly retrospective collection of the artist's editorial cartoons featured in The Daily Telegraph which presumably got him awarded said MBE, free courtesy of Telegraph Books, the British newspaper's publishing arm.

All the cartoons are accompanied by the full original Daily Telegraph articles whose topics they illustrated, which is a nice touch to put things in historical perspective as to the newsworthy issues at the time.

While this could have used more of an introduction before going straight into the cartoons (or any sort of introduction at all, really), it's actually pretty interesting in terms of what the editors seem to think was the most topical cartoon/issue for each year they selected, and it's as varied as the MP expenses scandal, gay clergypersons being endorsed by a top Anglican Church leader, public smoking bans, and computers winning against human chess champions.

Currently free @ Amazon UK (may possibly drop in the main store, linked for your price-drop-check convenience) & iTunes (available to Canadians and several other countries I spot-checked, so presumably worldwide).

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Enjoy!

Description
Matt has been making Telegraph readers laugh for 25 years, his cartoons skewering the biggest stories of the day. Here are 25 of his very best - one for each year - together with the news that inspired them.
