Spoiler:
The issue appears to be uneven length output from the perl script. Perhaps the script itself has a height/width restriction (I should read it and check I suppose but IIRC it was a few lines at most) which leads me onto thought two. The bdf is wrong : ( FULL DISCLOSURE: Spoiler:
Easiest routes would be a) check the bdf is not garbage with a validator - I am not aware of one off hand b) get another bdf and try that. I opt for this one myself. I searched for about two days on and off before I dredged up the 12x24 one and the 16x32 is part of the terminus project but IIRC they dont supply a native bdf. Fondu? or similar... may be our friend here? It converts quite a few bits and have toyed with it locally to get a feel for its abilities but again its not something I can just do. It would be nice to get a huge font. If only for the accessibility of it. Also it is there to be done. What more reason is there? |

The .bdf font appears to be quite valid:
As you pointed out, the perl script produces uneven length definitions of the glyphs (hence faithfully recoding the input -- this is *not* incorrect IMHO). It is the myts code that appears to only expect even lengths. Probably easier to tediously recode the source bdf using fixed 16x32 bitmaps. |

sigh. ah. perhaps a simple padding script might do the job. or as you say just make one.
Harrumph. ; ) Thanks for the efforts pop |

You mean the physical device? Knc1 has ripped open more than his fair share of devices Ill be bound. I see you are 3 so not a touchscreen...
Physical defect? a piece of software I dont know? DO you mean GMs video drivers perhaps, they provide screenbuffer stuffing with some alacrity. Need more clues |

J.F. was going to consider making his terminal a "tabbed" interface. But "Life" may have stolen all of his hobby time. The other recent terminal application here (which runs under X11) might also be made to show multiple instances. I don't recall reading of any such plans in that thread. So as far I can recall - - that one (screen) is up for grabs - - go for it. |
