I have uploaded it to the icon server, it should show up in the calibre icon theme list.

I had some replacement icons in C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\calibre\resource s\images.
When I installed (selected?) a different theme Calibre replaced my original with the theme's png's When I tried to reverted back, the only option was to the built in icons Possibly it might be better to save the current icons to a folder and revert back to those instead of the built in defaults, OR ... Allow the user to have a user-specific theme that they could select if they wanted to |

Themes and managing your own icons manually are mutually exclusive. Trying to support both simultaneously just adds lots of work for a rather fringe use case. One then has to keep track of which files came from where and what is safe to remove/overwrite when.
You can store your personal icons in a special folder and copy everything from that folder into resources/images every time you change your icon theme. |

Or create a personal icon theme out of your $CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY\resources\images\
Edit: NVM, can't see a way to load a theme from a file. Is there room anywhere for a warning? e.g. "This action will remove any current custom icons/theme" Last edited by eschwartz; 09-03-2015 at 03:44 AM. |

In order to do that calibre would have to keep track of which files came from where, otherwise you would get that warning even when changing themes.

Just check if icon-theme.json doesn't exist?

That would only work in the case of going from manual to theme, what about theme to manual or mix of the two? The only way to implement it robustly is to track which files belong to a theme using a hash. And, as I said, that is more work than I am interested in.

I really love this theme!
Only one request: can you please add a "device" icon? |
