Irony sucks sometimes
So, on the same day I order my Aura HD, I manage to lose my Touch. Anyone know if it's possible for Kobo to disassociate a device from an account?

Sorry bout your lost Touch. Live-chat or phone support - but in the meantime, if your credit card details are attached to your account, it's probably a good idea to whip in and remove them.

You know that when you are buying a new gadget you shouldn't talk about it in front of the old one. Usually they die of a broken-heart, but it sounds like yours has run away from home
Changing the password should be enough. There is key stored on the device so that it doesn't have to prompt for the password. But it should need to change with the password. And as meera said, remove the credit card details until you are sure. |

Probably wouldn't hurt to see if Kobo has any way to notify you if someone else tries to log your device into a Kobo account...

Well, on the bright side of things I decided to change the email address on my account last month. I'm 99% positive I never changed it on the Touch though. (Last time I bought a book from Kobo was last September.) I doubt the Touch can log in anymore.
Just to be safe I deleted my credit card info. Gonna call Kobo tomorrow, see what else should happen. Waiting for the Aura HD just got harder though without the old reliable... |

I would still change the password to the account as well as your CC info to be safe.
