Voyage case with NO cover - are there any?
Is this even possible? I just want a case to protect the sides and back, which are developing little chips. I do not want an extra flap hanging off when I read. I do not not need a cover to turn it on and off for me. A phone-style case.
The only grip/bump/no-cover case I can find is the Poetic GraphGrip, which I will buy if there's no alternative, but I find unattractive. It's also somewhat thicker than I was really hoping for. Supcase used to have one, but it looks like I'm 6 months too late to purchase - the last Amazon review was in July. And it's not on the manufacturer site either. Does anyone here know of a coverless case for the Voyage? Or a case where the cover can be carefully cut off without exposing multiple layers that will then disintegrate? |

Try ebay.
I found a good cover for my oasis on ebay. I paid like $8 with shipping |

Maybe what you need is a skin.
https://www.decalgirl.com/skins/amaz...oyage-skinsyou https://www.decalgirl.com/ I don't use one but a lot of people do. I think they're vinyl. |

I presume the chips are occurring during movement, rather than when reading. Just buy a sleeve. That's what I use on many of my gadgets.

Imagine being on public transportation and taking your out of the sleeve just as the train comes to a quick stop. The Reader goes flying with no protection. It's not a risk worth taking. |

I have an earlier version of one of these cases.
https://www.amazon.com/iGadgitz-Leat..._89%3Aigadgitz My case is fairly rugged. The Voyage is held pretty tightly. I know this sounds somewhat weird but, get the case and cut off the front flap. This is assuming the case is still tough. Tried to look close at the photos but can't determine if it will work for your use. I think my case with a cut off at the hinge would work as you want it to. |

You're probably already aware of this, but just want to point out that the front flap doesn't need to be "hanging off" while you read. I have several third party covers for my voyages all with front covers that fold over completely flat against the back of the case while I'm reading.

I've been using an earlier version of this on my daily bicycle commute for over 8 years. I think it is a great alternative to a sleeve and has been essential while I'm trying to decide which cover to get and waiting for it to arrive. I usually use it to protect the cover from scratching, but it would certainly protect a bare kindle from chipping.
https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/sto...tegoryId=12614 I bought it for a K2, but it works great for K4NT and Voyage. The Oasis 2 with cover fits, but barely. I'd say it could double as a potholder except its shape doesn't seem right for that for me. |

My Omoton is very light. I can’t imagine the front cover makes much of a difference in weight, although it does have the magnet.
