I had intended to use the free Supersaver Shipping option, but I caved and went instead for standard shipping, as I would have received the Kindle on the 7th of October, instead of the 3rd, had I not.

My ETA of October 11 just got changed to the 10th. (I.e. one day shipping in Germany, and free). They probably realized they have a distribution center in the Nord Rhein Westfalen area near the border with Holland?

I ordered this afternoon and I was kind of surprised they gave me an Oct 1 arrival date. So I lucked out there. I've got a Prime Membership and chose next day delivery.

BTW, several of you mentioned that your new PW2 is already showing up in your list of Kindles. That is typical of Amazon. As soon as you pre-order, or order, they add it to the list. When it gets ready to ship then you will see the serial number and email address added. That usually happens on the day it gets processed to ship.
