Unhappy Problems transferring .acsm files onto e-reader

Hello
I am very new to the world of e-readers! I have purchased and dowloaded a few books, and they have the file extension, .acsm after the titles. I am having a problem opening them on my e-reader. I read a few posts in the forum, and I do have Adobe Digital Edition installed on the device but all the digital editions of the books I've downloaded, are zipped still. What can I do to rectify this situation?

right-click on the file, choose 'open with' from the resulting pop-up and choose Adobe Digital Editions. That will open the file in that program. Then plug your reader in and if it prompts you to authorize the reader, do that. Then just drag the book onto your reader icon while you in ADE.
