602 Battery Replacement

Hi -- looking for information on where to buy a replacement battery for my 602. Does anyone have a model #? The original battery looks like a proprietary battery from Dong Guan McNair Technology Co. Ltd. There is no model # that I could see.

Have not contacted customer support. What link do you suggest? I would like to find a battery replacement closer to home, and cheaper. The battery is easy to replace and I think that by now, some of the owners of 602s have had to replace their batteries and have found cheaper alternative battery sources. I cannot find the link but I did see quite a while ago, a battery model # for the 602 and someone had done a how to on opening the cover -- by the way, duct tape on the back sticks firmly enough to be able to use it to pull the cover down and off. I could not do it with my hands alone.

Victoria BC -- but the link for pocketbook is probably eastern US or Canada or even Europe from what I've seen. Google is less than helpful when it comes to the Pocketbook line.

Actually there is no support for PB on the american continent, so you either try the US-support telephone or the german line which is quite helpful sometimes

I think I should specify local, at least North American suppliers, ebay or any source with a replacement battery for the 602. I am surprised at the lack of response which is probably good news as the battery does last a long time. I use mine daily for hours. It has been to Mexico and Spain, travels very well and never froze on me. If it had a light like the Kobo Glo I would never buy another ereader. (Ah, except for ten inch for pdfs, darn!)
Someone must have have replaced the battery on the 602 (think 902 has same battery) -- there are lots similar but the contacts on the 602 are on side rather than end.

At the german line I was told, that a replacement costs 15€ + shipping/packaging.
You have to order by EMail.
Then you get a bill, have to pay in advance and afterwards get your battery sent.

15€ is not very cheap. I am looking for an alternative source as well.
