Importing creates only '.title' entries

When attempting to bulk import, 99.9% of the imports create an book entry labeled '.booktitle' and the epub or mobi is not copied in - but shows a 4k file that is corrupted. I can import the books individually, so there IS no actual corruption. This happens whether I tell it that all files in the folder are the same title or different titles... I've set up tests for both.

I just attempted to load over 3000 ebooks last night - ALL of them failed to load and instead created the entries '.booktitle'.

This occurred in version 7.13 and also again in version 7.14.

Thoughts?

I found an old Reddit post that said to change the max OPDS to larger than the ebook library size... I set it to 20000 (not higher, but close) and now ALL books are loading properly. With something this important, you'd wonder why it doesn't just resize on its own?

Changed max OPDS to greater than library size. Works fine now. Wonder why this doesn't resize on its own if its that important?

Just how are you importing these books? And from what source? It sounds as if you are trying to import >3,000 books from an internet site using an OPDS connection. I've played with a couple of calibre plugins to read an external OPDS library (steinarb's opds-reader and un-pogaz's OPDS-reader which was forked from the steinarb code).

The maximum OPDS connection on calibre is related to the calibre server and does have any effect on the local book import or the imports I tested using either of the two plugins.
