Also, I don't know why loximuthal used csh as bash is just So Much Better (and csh is reportedly weird). It is possible if you switch to bash which I know should work fine, it will work better.
Sorry I wasn't checking earlier. I'm attaching my app which should work as long as the command line tools are installed in the default location. Just unzip it to your Applications directory (or where ever you want) and away you go. Please let me know how it goes, as I have not shared this app before, and don't know for sure if it will work.

As for why csh vs. bash, it is what I started on in unix and I"m too lazy to learn the differences

Hi,
If you don't want something 11 meg grab one of pdurrant's a drag and drop apps for Mac (see the kindle or epub forums) and there you can find examples of small Applescripts that allow drag and drop launching that can be placed in an app but be quite small in size.

FYI: Just tested this on my Mac and it worked for the couple minutes I messed with it for. OS X 10.9.4

I started in linux fairly recently and used the default bash. I'm not really sure what the differences are myself, except...

I did a google search, bash vs csh, to find out (b/c obvously its some type of shell) and my eyes are still blistering from one rant I innocently stumbled across. Apparently csh is the proverbial easy way out short-term-benefit Big Bad, at least according to one person. Now I'm afraid.

Good lord, what is that thing doing?!?!?!

I have a .desktop launcher that is a kilobyte or two which acts as a drop target to feed stuff to the kilobyte or two ebook-edit-multiple.sh in ~/bin/

What is automator doing with the other 10.73 MB?

I suspect I don't do anything wild enough to trigger "Big Bad," but I could be wrong

You got me. I've done very little with automator, so I've never bothered to learn the ins and outs. At work I don't need to wrap stuff up into apps, I can just use scripts as-is. Alas, that wouldn't work for me at home with this script, so I learned just enough to wrap the script up and drop it in the Applications folder.
