My Oasis 2017 hasn’t updated yet and the update button is grayed out, is there a way to force it.

Follow the link found in the first post of this thread, and follow the instructions to download and put the firmware update onto your Kindle. Once you have done that, the button will no longer show as greyed out.

I have found a new "feature". On Oasis 2 with 5.9.2.0.1 in landscape mode the page orientation now flips as well. I could swear it was static before (with buttons always on the bottom of the page) - maybe someone on an earlier FW can confirm if landscape mode used to not flip orientation?

5.9.0.6 (fresh out of box) flips in landscape mode.
