I'm going to try the calibre 2.* version with this plubgins but I've a doubt. Is it possible to have two different versions of calibre in the same machine? I have the same problem than jswolf: ModifyEpub is a basic plugin for me, so I don't want to discard the previous version till it's updated.

Yes, it's possible, just use the portable installer on windows. On linux and os x in any case a calibre install is just a single folder.

And set CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY, like the portable one does.

The config directory can be shared between Qt 5 and Qt 4 versions of calibre. So it is not strictly necessary to set CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY.

It's probably easier, though, if you are testing the new plugins but suffer from commitment problems. As per the previous poster.

Thank you, after thinking it it's easy. I already have a portable installation in an USB stick, so I'll try the portable version (as you have told me).

I got it dragging over the book details panel. When I dropped the file (tried jpeg, epub and txt) a new book was created

And it tests OK. Now...

Code:
calibre, version 1.200.0
ERROR: Failed to set data: Could not set data, click Show Details to see why.

  File "D:\Development\GitHub\calibre-qt5\src\calibre\gui2\library\models.py", line 985, in set_custom_column_data
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'isNull'
That happened when I clicked in a date custom column, pressed "-" to clear it and then clicked elsewhere to save the change. It works fine for the date column.

The published date column also has a problem when clicking in it:

Code:
calibre, version 1.200.0
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>TypeError</b>:QDateTimeEdit.setDate(QDate): argument 1 has unexpected type 'QDateTime'

calibre 1.200* isfrozen: True is64bit: False

In Version 1.200 portable I can see 32 rows in the book list
In Version 1.43 portable I can see 48 rows in the book list
Both are fresh installs using 'factory' settings.
Is there something to tweak in V1.200 to make it similar to current version

In V1.200 a custom comments column cell is not highlighted when its the current cell

Hmm, there is something wrong with column icons when running from source. With the beta it is OK.

I have a five icon rules. Each returns a different icon to be put in the same column. What looks like is happening is if the first rule returns the icon, five copies of it are put into the column. And if the first rule doesn't return the an icon, then no icons are displayed no matter what the others return.

This is happening whether simple or advanced rules are used. There are no errors being displayed anywhere.

I think the above is correct. I'll have a bit more of a play tomorrow to see if there is more to it.
