If they commissioned or optioned it, it's also hard to believe they would allow rights to return to the photographer so quickly.
Wallbanger was originally a self published novel. It was just recently picked up by S&S. The cover has not changed. It was originally a Twilight Fan Fic too before it got self published. It is sitting on my Kindle and someday I may read it. lol

Ah. So, S&S was lazy and just used the PD cover. Not a great idea.

I had it in my TBR pile for quite awhile and just recently finished it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

It on my Kindle so It may get read right now I am working through Reckless still. I just finished Some Like It Hot by K.J. Larsen which was great for their 3rd book and now I am reading another Mary Balogh novel. Her books are becoming like crack to me. Luckily all her ebooks are at my Library but I am slowly making my way through the old PBs I have of hers. I also finished The Marriage Mart by Elizabeth Chater. I was severely disappointed after reading The Gamester I expected better. I can't recommend The Marriage Mart. I do love the old Regency romances though! I have this huge box of them that I got a few years back. I just never started reading one till I hurt my foot and now I can't stop.

Re: Wallbanger, well I had pretty low expectations, so maybe that helped. I don't usually care for comedy mixed with romance, but at times I was literally LOL.

Re: Reckless, I am waiting to start the series [with Thoughtless] but now thanks to you have ereaderIQ to notify me when the price goes down. It's one I've had my eye on for awhile anyways, but after you said how much you enjoyed the series now it's not a 'but' anymore, it's a 'when'.

I just finished the 2 books of the 'Breathing' series by Rebecca Donovan and I just loved them. Pretty brutal subject matter, but I just really enjoyed them. I had bought the first a long time ago, and it was so good that the minute I was finished it I had to buy the 2nd book immediately. Paid full price and everything, which I seldom do.

Edit:
I checked this thread, but I forgot to check the Feb thread until afterwards . So, here is a couple of discounted Patricia Rice books instead.

Denim and Lace
by Patricia Rice is discounted to 2.99 right now. ( Or at least it should be according to her blog. )

The Genuine Article is also 2.99 right now.

And, I discovered the Backlist e-books has a specials page. I think most of the deals have already been posted here, but it is a nice one way stop .

Always a bad idea - there's no telling if the author has (a) proper rights to use it at all or (b) rights to use it outside of a narrow range (ebook only, for example, if they deal directly with the artist). Then, there's the issue with this cover - a PD image used on multiple books.

Oh, btw - the book that is today's deal of the day at Amazon, when it was free, it was in Topaz format. I haven't checked what format the Montlake is in, but might be worth an upgrade, if it is now Mobi or AZW3.

It still is. I wish they would replace the topaz with KF8.

I love romantic comedies. Jennifer Crusie, Christie Craig are just a few authors I read who always have me laughing. I'm not into tearjerkers. I cried enough reading The Cowboy Takes a Bride. Give me funny any day!

I would of never read Thoughless but I had just finished A Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle and I loved it. I went looking for something like it. I came across Beautiful Disaster and Thoughtless. Beautiful Disaster was so good I read it in one sitting. Thoughtless took me awhile. It was like a train wreck I just couldn't stop reading. I swore I would not read the Sequel but I did after finishing Easy by Tammara Webber which was just okay for me. The second book Effortless redeemed much of the couple in my eyes so I bought the third Reckless.

I have no desire to read Reason to Breathe....It hits too close to home. Now I bought the Edge of Never so it's on my TBR list.

I loved A Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle and Easy by Tammara Webber, Beautiful Disaster not so much. I really hope Thoughtless [and series] comes down in price, like I said I've had my eye on it for awhile.

Reason to Breathe, yes, it was very difficult to read, but I think the author did such a great job, I was cheering and crying for Emma the whole way, what a journey! I can't wait for book 3 in July. Sorry that it hits close to home, but I understand not wanting to read it because of the subject matter.

Curious to hear what you think of Edge of Never when you get the chance to read it. I just loved it so much, enough that I bought this newly released version for $.99 because the author added an extended chapter. *sigh* I'm such a sap.

LOVED Easy, sorta liked The Mighty Storm (it was kinda of 'meh' to me, actually), and thought The Edge of Never was great. Can't wait for The Edge of Always (which is releasing all the way in Nov )

I have Colleen Hoover's Hopeless on standby to read, and I'm itching to buy Falling Into You, having read the sample yesterday. Oh, and I absolutely loved Ten Tiny Breaths (which was $0.99 when I bought it ); heavy stuff, but worth the read. I've been on a new adult kick lately, so recommendations are always welcome

I can't wait for Edge of Always either! Like I said earlier in the thread, Edge of Never was my favorite book of 2012.

So funny, I've been looking at 'Falling Into You' as well and debating whether to just grab it now or hope it comes on for $.99. I've been looking at it for the past few days. I have a feeling this one might jump in price rather than drop.

I too have Colleen Hoover's Hopeless in my TBR pile, got it when it was $.99. I enjoyed Slammed, the second in that series [was it Point of No Return?] not as much.

Funny, I had looked at Ten Tiny Breaths when it first came out but didn't grab it, I just put it on my watch list because of your recommendation.

I've read several books by Laura Kaye and Cherrie Lynn and enjoyed them all. Be warned, Cherrie Lynn's can be quite explicit, Laura Kaye's I'd say just 'steamy'. I bought all of hers but haven't read them all yet.

Another book that I really enjoyed [just recently read but had bought awhile ago] was 'Flat Out Love' by Jessica Park. No 'steamy', but I thought it was a good story, really unique and quirky. http://www.amazon.com/Flat-Out-Love-...=flat+out+love

Really liked 'On Dublin Street' by Samantha Young. [was a lot cheaper when I got it a few months back] http://www.amazon.com/On-Dublin-Stre...3743597&sr=1-1

Ack, don't want to get in trouble for hi-jacking the thread but it seems we have quite similar taste.
