Should I wait for International release?
I'm in Canada, where Amazon doesn't ship the new Kindle Paperwhite yet. I really want to get it and I don't feel like waiting another 2-3 before it is finally released in Canada as well.
My question is : is it better for me to wait for the International release than to buy it now and have it shipped to an American address that will forward it to me? Is there any hardware difference between the "American" version and the International version? I just want the Wi-Fi version... Thanks! |

Wait is my suggestion. Some of the units delivered today seem to have a screen display problem. It could be totally solved in a week or two.

I suspect that it's more a case of unrealistic expectations than a problem. The photos I've seen show very much what one would expect from this type of lighting system.

Had to laugh, yesterday some posters were full of angst because their orders were not showing as shipped, and they were getting very snippy, even nasty, to those who were getting the shipped message. Today, a couple of those are reporting they don't like it. Some are just never happy. First world problems indeed. |

I'm in Australia and I bit the bullet yesterday and ordered via an address forwarder, only to get an email to tell me that the forwarder isn't currently trading. I'm hoping to get a response soon so I can change my Amazon address before it ships.
I was using SafeShoppingUSA, does anybody have other suggestions for Australia? |

Can highly recommend them although they use DHL which is very fast, but a little $$. You actually order from Amazon and send it to the address they sign you up with. My PPW is already in myus.com and they will courier it to me tonight, so already on its way to Australia. |
