Hi to all

Hi all. I joined today and have an ebookwise. Just got it and I am so excited about finding some ebooks that I have been wanting to read for ages!

I hope to make it a 2-way street with info, so thanks to all in advance.

Oops, I'm an Aussie btw

Hello ChrissySh, and welcome to MobileRead. I believe that our DixieGal totes an eBookwise reader. She lives in Alabama, which is the majestic state in which I was reared. There are also a couple of other Aussies that hang around the forums and I'm sure they'll introduce themselves at some point.

Since I live in the USA, I had the option of getting a Kindle from Amazon.com and I just love having a dedicated eBook reader. I'm now learning about building books using the various programs available.

We're glad you've joined us.

Hi and thanks everyone for the welcome. The ebookwise isn't available in Aussie, so when its purchased from USA it comes here with no warranty and needs a converter as our power supply is 240V, but it was worth it. I love it and saves me carrying 3 books when I go away. My escape from work and stress is to get buried in a book! (much to hubby's disgust lol).

I hope I can contribute as much as I take from the forum. Only a beginner, but I'll get there.

Thanks again

It is a pain with ebook readers being so under-developed in the land of OZ... err AUS but thats true of almost any tech.

My first choice these days it overseas/web suppliers to anything I want to buy... the only draw back is shipping charges for the heavier items. But I have a working figure in mind before I look local.
