Can't Load Plugin from file

Hi,

I have been using Calibre now for a while and have kept up with the updates. However I just my computer crash and reinstalled my OS (Win 7 32 bit) and my software including Calibre. Now when I go to Preferences and Load plugin from file, Calibre just closes altogether. I have a couple of thrid party plugins that work with the most recent versions of Calibre, but I can't load them.

I have tried all the steps noted on other threads to uninstall Calibre, delete certain files/folders, shut off virus protection...all to no evail. Any thoughts?

Well, I figured out my problem. Windows left behind some entries in the registry that kept the reinstalled Calibre from working properly. I used a registry cleaning utility to get my registry fixed and viola, no more issues with Calibre closing while trying to load a plugin.

My apoloiges if I wasted anyones time.
