books no longer transfer to kobo

I've been successfully downloading library books for almost 2 years using ADE. I've downloaded some books today, and suddenly, I can no longer drag & drop. I've tried uninstalling adobe and re-installing but it's made no difference. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

When you connect your Kobo to your PC, can you browse it with Windows Explorer?

Are all the books in the root directory of the Kobo and if so, how many are there? [There are limits related as to how many files can be in the root directory of any storage device].

Actuaolly the limit is not so much Kobo but is generic to the formatting of the device. Of course, the Topuch uses FAT32 that should not have limits

FAT16 was limited to 512 entries, and long file names would use more than 1 entry..

Ok, that makes sense, but, 'guesstimate', how many books is too many for KoboTouch?

Not sure... but people DO run into issues when they have around 1500 books on the Kobo. The kobo creates 5 images per book in the .kobo/images directory, not all of which are needed. I believe at least 2 images can be dropped per book.

Take a look for instance at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=170236 for details.
