Personally I was hoping for a reader with a Pearl screen, but this looks interesting too. |

At CES Onyx was showing a few tablet devices. This looks very close to one of them. I wouldnt be surprised if this is from Onyx. I should see if we can get some if it is...

Might be some serious competition for the Nook Color with it's price point (that and being available in more than just the US).

€279 is just a shade over $400 USD. The specs compare with a WiFi Samsung Galaxy Tab which comes in at $350 USD; and they're available today.

I love how towards the end of the video, you see someone enjoying some quality time on the throne.

Eh, another relatively cheap small-screen tablet, running an already old OS not meant for tablets....

That OS does really well on 7 inch displays. All the reading apps work very well on that size also. Only a couple of free drawing apps that I have tried have used the full 7 inch display.
Plus it has a front facing camera for video chat and 1080p hdmi out. Id pick it over the Color just for those two things |

€279 is about $279. The Euro price is always including VAT, which you don't pay if you live in the US. The Samsung here is over €400...
