Kindle Keypad 2010 - Your Kindle Encountered an Error

Help, have a Kindle Keypad which all of sudden is showing an Error screen with explanation mark, and stating "Your Kindle Encountered an Error". Try soft and hard boot to no avail. Called tech support and they cannot help, any recommendations would be welcome?

Get a new ereader.

Well, the Kindle Keyboard is almost 10 years old by now. That's ancient for any small electronic devices, like phones, ereaders, laptops etc.. I've seen it recommended to keep the device connected to a wall charger for a day or two, but I've no idea if it would help in this case.

*Phew* blows dust off ole kindle keyboard. . . I have firmware 3.4.3 running on my K3. I don't know if you can download the latest firmware to your computer then sideload it to your kindle to get it running again. You might want to post in the Kindle Developers Corner about that otherwise you can get another cheap kindle 3 at shopgoodwill probably under ten dollars or less.

Thanks for the replies, it was my wife's kindle and upgraded her to the paperwhite, will try and keep plugged in for a couple of days before pitching the antique, it was quite the ROI with this little device.
