I am seriously interested in this reader, does anyone know when it will be released?

For me it hinges on how good the frontlight is. Last edited by jlynton; 09-26-2013 at 04:20 AM. |

^ Page turns seem very slow for such a new device.

Maybe I'm easily satisfied, but it looks fine to me.
Still, if this is the only disadvantage this reader has while offering a touch screen AND buttons AND a front-light AND an SD-card AND epub, then I think the positives far outweigh that one negative, if you're looking for a reader like this. Of course it's bigger than the KPW or the Aura, but it has to be because it has buttons everywhere, which require extra space and extra electronics. |

Looks perfectly fine to me too. The speed of page turns is not something which has ever bothered me one bit.

Thanks for posting those videos jlynton. I agree it looks quite sluggish though. The almost instant page turns on the Aura (and the lack of flash every time) make this look a bit outdated. The page turns on my 3-year-old Sony 350 are quicker than that.

I also think that it does look slow, but wonder if it is the touch screen (capacitive), it looks like the person demonstrating it in the video is almost hesitant. It would be interesting to see if it is faster when the page-turn buttons are pressed. I do however agree with Katsunami that the positives outweigh the negative, and am very tempted by this reader. The one thing that holds me back is wanting to compare with possible offerings over the next month or so from nook, pocketbook and onyx.

It looks very tempting. Does anyone know if you can download over wifi from Overdrive? Also, can the auto-rotation be switched off?

If anybody here buys it, it would be great if they could post some pictures and a little review
