Can't convert files

When I try to convert a file I get this error:

calibre, version 0.8.9
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>KeyError</b>:'completion_change_to_ascii_sorting'

I've done a repair install with no success. I would appreciate any assistance.

1. any one of dozens of files tried epub, pdf, mobi
2. There is no log because it never starts.
3. no options changes
4. The error data included is details from error window.

Your version of calibre in ancient. Update to the current release 0.8.62

Thanks. Removed and installed and problem solved. I had run 0.8.62 and repaired but I guess That wasn't the way to do it. BTW is the proper way to export books to an ipad to share with Itunes?
